B. Unintentionally, accidentally

C. Randomly, incidentally

D. Casually, coincidentally

First degree murder is manslaughter with the intent and premeditation to kill.

Second degree murder is manslaughter with intent but no premeditation to kill (May include those who harm another persons but did not intent to kill.)

Third degree does not exist depending on where you are so I won’t touch on that. (But if you want clarification just ask.)

Moving on, since first degree is categorized as murder with premeditation and intent option A fits that. Adverbs such as intentionally and deliberately correlate with the crime of first degree murder.

What distinction does the author draw between migrant farm workers who come from foreign countries and those who come from whithin the United states

Answers

Answer:

C. While foreign migrant workers are forced to leave the United States after a period of time, migrant workers from within the United States are able to stay and work indefinitely.

Explanation:

As per the question, the contrast that the author establishes between "the migrant workers who arrived from the United States and the ones who came from other Foreign nations" is that 'the foreign workers were deliberately compelled to depart from the U.S. post a specified time-period while migrant workers from the U.S. itself were given the permission to stay without any restrictions.' The Visa limitations further substantiate this discriminated behavior that clearly displays the distinction in the behavior towards the two types of farm workers just because of their country of origin and the foreign workers had no other option instead of leaving when said. Thus, option C is the correct answer.

Work with your group to create two lessons. The first lesson should be a written set of instructions for learning and applying a skill of some kind. Use text features and graphics to make the instructions easy to understand. The second lesson should be an oral set of instructions for learning and applying the same skill. This second lesson might take the form of an audio recording, a video, or an in-person presentation. Use media of any kind to make these instructions easy to understand, or find a way to make up for a lack of media.
When you get done, share your written lesson with one group in your class and your oral lesson with another group in your class. Each of those groups will attempt to follow your instructions to learn and to apply the skill. At the same time, your group will follow the instructions in lessons from two other groups. When all the groups are finished, you will exchange feedback and make changes before turning in your two lessons.
Follow your teacher's guidance about how the lessons should be shared, which tools to use, how to form groups, and so on. Here in the practice guide, record your group's progress by answering the questions, and submit your portion of the group project. However, keep in mind that you are responsible for making sure both lessons meet all the requirements of the assignment, so be sure to help other members in your group as needed.

1. Form groups. Your teacher will decide how big each group should be and which students should be assigned to what group.
Work with your group to pick a skill you will teach in your lessons. Remember that the skill shouldn't require special equipment or a lot of materials. It should also be something a person can complete in less than half an hour, is usually taught in school, and is an actual skill, not just a fact or a piece of information to memorize.
Once you select a skill, figure out how to apply it and teach it. Use online research to help you, if needed.
Selecting and putting a skill into practice is the first challenge your group will face. Be sure to use the strategies you learned for successful group work to stay on track, settle disagreements, show respect, and make sure everyone participates.
In the space below, describe the skill your group has chosen.

2. With your group, plan your written set of instructions. Figure out each part of the skill the reader must learn to apply the skill. Then figure out how you will arrange the parts in your lesson. Also figure out how you can use graphics and text features to make the lesson easy to understand. Take notes in the space below.

3. Now work with your group to plan your oral set of instructions. Decide what form the oral instructions will take: audio, video, or in-person presentation.
Also discuss how you will make up for not being able to rely on text (and perhaps graphics) as much as you did in the written lesson. Finally, if your oral lesson is not audio only, discuss how you might use media to help listeners understand the instructions. Take notes in the space below.

4. Talk to your group about how to divide the work involved in the project and choose roles. Below, record each group member's role. Also describe your role and which part of the project is your responsibility.

5. Complete your part in the group project. Then, when everyone is ready, meet with your group to put the parts together.
In the space below, show the part of the project you completed yourself, if possible. If not possible, describe how you contributed.

6. Now it's time for your group to publish your lessons or present them to other groups. One group in your class will access your written lesson. A different group will access, or listen to, your oral lesson.
Combine your text and media into files and make them available online for other groups to access. If your oral set of instructions is meant to be presented in person, now is the time to give that presentation. Your teacher will decide which group will be the audience for each of your lessons.

7. Follow the instructions in the lessons other groups in your class give you. As you learn and apply each skill, discuss with your group how well the other group taught that skill.
In the space below, record feedback for each group that gave you a set of instructions to follow. Point out both the positive qualities of their lesson and ways it could be improved. Be polite, helpful, and constructive.

Being an American, according to her, is a concept that endures despite the fact that it shouldn't give the country variety. Quindlen informs the reader that America was built in an unusual way, with no one culture or race as a foundation. Quindlen makes a comparison between the positive and negative aspects of this universe. She says that if catastrophes happen in our world, they also serve to make us aware of the good things in life.

The common adversary that the US as a whole shared, according to Anna Quindlen, is what brought America's ethnic groups together prior to the conclusion of the Cold War.

How might Bromden's earlier statement, "It's all true even if it didn't happen" apply to the patients' situation?

Answers

Bromden's earlier statement, "It's all true even if it didn't happen" may apply to the patients' situation in that their perception and experience of reality is valid and true even if it does not conform to the societal norms and expectations. The patients' mental illnesses cause them to perceive and interpret reality in ways that may be considered unconventional or even delusional by others. However, to the patients, their experiences are very real and valid. Thus, just as Bromden's statement suggests that there are multiple realities and perspectives, the patients' experiences are also true in their own way.

The line "It's all true even if it didn't happen" is spoken by Bromden in Ken Kesey's book One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, implying that there are instances when things can be true even if they don't actually happen.

This comment may be relevant to the experiences and perceptions of reality of the patients in the novel. Many of the patients are stigmatized as having mental illnesses, and their thoughts and experiences are frequently written off as illusory. However, as a result of their encounters with one another and McMurphy, they start to doubt the reality of their circumstance as well as the legitimacy of Nurse Ratched and the other staff members at the mental facility.

In this way, even if their experiences aren't viewed as "real" by people in positions of authority, they are nonetheless authentic and relevant to the individuals themselves. Truth is a relative concept that might differ from person to person, according to Bromden's assertion. Every patient has their own realities and situations, and these are true for them just as much as any possible objective truth.

After reading chapters 4-8 in Doing Good Better, please organize your thoughts around these questions.

Chapters 4-6: There's lots of interesting explanations in these chapters, and many of them sounding more like economics than altruism, but each had a purpose. What were the three key questions that were covered in these chapters?

Answers

The three key questions covered in chapters 4-6 of "Doing Good Better" are: 1) How many people benefit, and by how much? 2) Is this the most effective intervention? 3) Is this area neglected or crowded? These questions delve into the economic aspects of altruism and provide a framework for evaluating the impact and effectiveness of different interventions.

In these chapters, the author explores the concept of cost-effectiveness and emphasizes the importance of maximizing the positive impact of our altruistic efforts. The first question, "How many people benefit, and by how much?" highlights the significance of assessing the scale and magnitude of the impact to determine where resources can be allocated most effectively. The second question, "Is this the most effective intervention?" encourages us to compare different interventions and consider their relative effectiveness in achieving desired outcomes.

By focusing on interventions that have high leverage and produce significant results, we can optimize our efforts to make a greater difference. The third question, "Is this area neglected or crowded?" draws attention to the importance of identifying areas where interventions are either underfunded or oversaturated. By directing resources to neglected areas, we can address problems that are not receiving adequate attention and have the potential for substantial positive change.

While these questions may seem more aligned with economics, they are crucial in the context of altruism because they help us prioritize and allocate our resources efficiently. By considering the number of people affected, the effectiveness of interventions, and the level of attention given to specific issues, we can make more informed decisions about how to do the best. This analytical approach enables us to maximize the impact of our altruistic endeavours and ultimately make a greater difference in the world.

The Tailed Ones

Once before the dawn of morning, a woman walked through the forest. As she was walking, she came upon a large nest. The nest held two large eggs.  The nest was old, and the eggs were cold. The woman wrapped some furs around the egg to keep them warm. The woman left the eggs to find food. When she returned, the eggs had started to crack. The woman watched as a figure emerged from both eggs. From the first egg emerged a large animal with gray shaggy fur, large ears, and a bushy tail, the woman named this one Canis Dirus. The second animal was smaller and slimmer, with gold hair and black spots. The woman called this animal Pseudaelurus. They were considered the first known mammal species of their kind.

Both animals looked up at the woman and thought of her as their mother.  She took them to her home, where she would take care of them. The animals were loyal and willing to serve, so the woman gave them the title of pets. However, The pets didn't like each other. The Pseudaelurus did not like the Canis Dirus because of it's loud nature and energetic character. The Canis Dirus had a very dominant personality, marking its territory and growling at intruders. At the same time, the Canis Dirus did not like the Pseudaelurus because of its sneaky and lazy actions. She was always sleeping and stealing food from the Canis Dirus when he had finished hunting.

As the animals grew, their dislike for each other grew. They fought many hours of the day when the woman was not around. They fought over everything, from food to sleeping areas, to hunting grounds. One particular day, the Canis Dirus brought some meat for the woman and left it at her door to show his appreciation for her. The Pseudaelurus came by and ate the meat. His actions angered the Canis Dirus, so he destroyed her den. They started a great brawl that continued for many hours. The fight was so great that they did not hear the woman who was calling for them. She needed their help desperately, for a flock of great birds were attacking her. She called for them, begging them to come and help her. Finally, the largest bird seized the woman and flew away with her, the other following suit.

When the animals finished their fight, they returned home to clean their wounds. They arrived home to find their woman missing and feathers surrounding her house. The Canis Dirus turned to blame Pseudaelurus, for if she hadn't stolen from him, then the woman wouldn't be missing. The Pseudaelurus blamed the Canis Dirus for being too territorial instead of generous. The argument caused yet, another fight, which contained even more destruction than before. The animals didn't stop until both were too damaged to continue. Once they had the chance to view their surroundings, they saw how much destruction had occurred. They realized that their fighting had been the cause of this and decided to make a pact. They would try to get along to stop any harm from happening to anything or anyone else. The Canis Dirus had many descendants that are now known as dogs, while the Pseudaelurus had descendants now known as cats. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and patterns. To this day, some cats and dogs still dislike each other. Others can live in the same house and be perfectly fine. They are now known as housepets and are very nice additions for families.

Answers

If a column alias contains a blank space, it must be enclosed in quotation marks ("").

When working with column aliases in SQL, if the alias contains a blank space or any special characters, it must be enclosed in quotation marks. By using quotation marks, you are indicating to the database that the text within the quotes should be treated as a single entity and recognized as the column alias.

For example, if you want to alias a column as "Total Sales", you would write it as:

SELECT SUM(sales) AS "Total Sales"

FROM sales_table;

The quotation marks ensure that the alias is interpreted correctly and considered as a single identifier. This is especially important when the alias includes spaces or special characters that might otherwise be misinterpreted by the database.
